Curious about the faces behind Flinthills Services? Meet our administrative staff! These employees are responsible for organizational structure and carry out the administrative and strategic operations of our non-profit organization. They are the “wind beneath the wings” of our wonderful – and critically important – Direct Support Professionals who provide round-the-clock care to our clients.

I have served as the Executive Director since 2011. I hold a BS. Ed. From the University of Kansas and a MS. Ed. From Drake University. My career has been dedicated to working with persons with intellectual/developmental disabilities, physical disabilities, and mental illness. It is my privilege to be a part of Flinthills Services where we are committed to help each person we serve live life with dignity and purpose.

I joined Flinthills Services in 2020 with 25 years of experience in accounting. I have a bachelor’s degree from Wichita State University and I am a certified public accountant. I am excited to work within an organization that makes a daily difference in the lives of the individuals it serves.

Lela Day

I joined Flinthills Services in 2020 as their registered nurse. I started my nursing career as a CNA and worked my way up, obtaining my bachelor’s degree in 2015. I have experience in emergency care, public community health, long term care and mds. I enjoy each and every single one of our clients, and I am dedicated to advocating for the highest quality of life and care for them.

I have been the maintenance coordinator at Flinthills Services since 2013. I maintain and upkeep all Flinthills properties that we own or lease as well as our fleet of 19 vehicles. I strive to keep our properties and vehicles safe and reliable for the use of our clients for their daily needs.

While attending Emporia State University where I got my Bachelor’s of Science in Sociology, I had begun an internship with Flinthills Services, later accepting a job in direct care. After I received my degree, I began my professional career as the Training and Safety Coordinator. I now have the opportunity to have a big impact on the Direct Care Professionals so they in turn can empower the individuals they serve.
